Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Been to Cap Grill many times. Recently it feels like they have lost their way. Last night, took wine order for my wife but didn’t offer me a drink. Wife’s steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium well to well done. Waiter never checked on us after dinner came. Wife ordered a frangelico with her coffee which never arrived, but we were charged. I ordered a coffee but it never came. A few weeks ago (right before Christmas) we had reservations and the valet was over run. Sat waiting for 20 minutes until one of the valets came and said they couldn’t park us. We ended up in a traffic jam as the road is one way and near the mall. We had to get back on the freeway, drove a couple miles, got back into the same line of traffic and finally just said screw it and cancelled…. They give the sense of being upscale and classy but my experience over the last month is that it is a facade. They are overbooking, waiters are too busy, no valet service when it’s 20 degrees out… Food and service below average. I’m just one customer and maybe we just had a string of bad luck but i feel that there are better places to spend $250.

    6:00 PM reservation. Arrived early and taken immediately. Seated in a nice booth and greeted immediately with water and bread. The waiter, exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, then greeted us and served us exceptionally prepared drinks and provided special options. We got the 8-ounce filet and the lamb chops both expertly prepared and sooooo tasty. The scallopped potatoes and cream corn were also excellent. Creme Broulee dessert for two with berries was fresh. The entire evening was so well done. This is our "go-to" place for all our celebrations and we are never disappointed.

    Waiter was great as well as his assistant. Food was exceptional. Knowing it was New Years, was a little surprised with being at the restaurant at 11:40, we weren't offered to see if we wanted a drink to ring in the new year, of course at our expense. We were trying to get home prior to the ball dropping but was waiting on the bill. When realizing what time it was, we requested to get a drink and was told last call was over and the waiter already cashed out. We were never informed there was a last call. We weren't asking to stay at the restaurant, just a small drink to cheer in the New Year. Instead, we were driving home at that time. Any other time, I would understand.

    I consider myself a good customer of the Capital Grill. I frequent Providence and the Sarasota, Fl location. I made reservations for my girlfriend and I NYE for 815. She’s wearing heels so I drop her at the front door waiting behind the valet. He comes over to my window and is extremely rude about it. Basically yelling, you’re a valet do your job and call down. I always park across the street since it’s easier to leave. We were seated late which is no big deal. It’s crazy busy and the hostess’s were accommodating. Are sever was good. We ordered Calamari and it literally looked like the dunkers on the plate it was undercooked Are steaks were over cooked and the sides were burnt. For $350 dollars you’d think it would be better. I won’t be back after this.
