The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.
Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views.
Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

Greeted by a polite waitress, staff were very engaging, food came in good time, despite the pub being busy, Dinner was excellent. 5 stars all round

Wife wasn't too impressed with the Chilli as seems that mince was under cooked and semed to be boiled with lack of tomato sauce. When it came to the pudding I've never seen lumpy custed come from the kitchen before and it was so busy I just eat it and paid up and left quickly. Normal a good service but last night was different, possible big parties but quality of service and food should be the same...

First time we had visited. We had a lovely table with views over the bay. Service was friendly good-menu choices. The food was presented well it was hot and very good portions. We will definitely be back soon

Tonight's meal was up to it's normal good standard but service was slightly slower than I would have liked even though the restaurant wasn't full. I'll eat here again it is good value for money.
