   The beautiful Inn located in the picturesque village of West Hoathly richly deserves its reputation as a destination for great food and service. The menu is creative (with a daily specials board that offers some culinary excellence - the Aspargus with 62 degree egg in garlic oil and the Flourless Chocolate Cake with Hazelnut ice cream tasted out of this world). Highly recommended and booking is necessary to avoid any disappointment!

   Lovely food and the service was excellent. I had the cheese gougeres to start and the cod special , it was delicious . 3 of our party had the guinea fowl also lovely .

   Great choice of local sparkling wines, and wines in general. Very friendly and professional staff. Excellent, beautifully presented, seasonal food. Extremely dog-friendly.

   Excellent food ad beautifully presented. The service was especially good; friendly and professional, We really appreciated the offer of trying a couple of different wines before deciding on a bottle. The patience of the waitress, especially when they were busy, was impressive.

   My second visit to the Cat Inn and I wasn’t disappointed. I chose the ribeye steak and my husband ordered the Cat Burger. Both meals were delicious! For pudding, I had the rhubarb nut crumble and my husband ordered the passion fruit cheesecake. Service was excellent, staff were attentive, but allowed us to enjoy our meals without visiting our table too much. The perfect level of service in my opinion. A member of staff telephoned to say the table I would have preferred wasn’t available, which I felt was outstanding. Thank you to everyone who served us today and top marks to Andrew the chef. The Cat Inn is now my favourite place to eat!

   A warm and genuine welcome on arrival. A disabled parking space had even been reserved for us! All the staff we met were friendly and personable. We truly felt welcome. Food was utterly delicious throughout our meal. Gourgeres have inspired me to try to replicate at home. Thank you for a good evening - when next in the area we will return!

    Fantastic food and service Only one thing to improve for me would be to stop the irritating habit of serving some of the food on bits of wood rather than plates. Just means things fall off onto the table all the time
