25 minutes from sitting down to being offered water. Food marginally a notch up from a Gatwick airport Wetherspoons but at twice the price. Kids from a private party at the back allowed to run around the eating area barging onto our table and knocking wine over for 45 minutes (it was 9pm)

Hi Ignatios. Many thanks indeed for taking the time to review us, I'm sorry your visit didn't live up to expectations. Unfortunately very little of the CCTV corroborates your account. The drinks order was taken after 12 minute, admittedly longer than usual, but as you had arrived early for your visit we were still busy with other tables. No drinks were spilt, and the table with the children on left at 8.15. Of course we don't get things right all the time, and I'm sorry you didn't feel the food was up to standard, but deliberately misleading reviews can be harmful to the business, so it's a shame you felt compelled to write one. Lovely pub with a beautiful views of the Thames, making one enamoured of London once again. High quality pub scran, ideal for a pre-match sitting with pints.

Super service and lovely meals (the chorizo in the fish dish was very overcooked) but everything else tasted lovely. Spoiled by the fact that a staff member had parked her car in the middle blocking everyone in, so could get my car out of the car park and spent ages asking everyone if it was their car. Very inconsiderate.

Initial greeting was a bit offhand, but service thereafter was fantastic and food was really impressive with a good variety of veg included and well seasoned gravy/sauce. Roast portions were very large - we were glad we didnt order starters. We felt it was good value. We would definitely return.

Excellent service from Mark. A lively and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of room on our table in the bar area. Really good quality cheese and bacon burger and not overly expensive. Good reports from others for the flat iron steak and the sea bass. Great selection of beers and other drinks. A proper community pub with a prime spot on the river. Highly recommended.

Perfect spot for Sunday lunch. Very impressive and good value wine list as well as the full pub drinks selection.

Always good here. The food is more expensive than regular pub food but always of a better quality and taste.

Hi Richard, Many thanks indeed for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry your visit didn't live up to expectations. The chicken Kyiv is probed and does always reach temperature, so I can assure you was thoroughly cooked, and we'd have happily replaced it had we been made aware when we did the checkback. I'm glad the server took it off the bill without question as you weren't completely satisfied though. You were seated promptly with a view of the river as requested, served promptly and the meal taken off the bill so please do let us know what we should have done to improve our service score. It's difficult from a management perspective to see how we could have done things differently, so your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Ian Wright, General manager

We changed our reservation three times and every time we’re met with quick efficient positive responses. On the night Mike the manager went above and beyond to give us a really special evening. They were super busy but everything was fast and good. The food was delicious I had the Kiev and big portions to boot. Go there now! It’s superb. Thanks Mike.
