Encapsulating the architectural elegance and history of Vienna and wider Central-Europe, The Delaunay evokes the spirit of grand café dining, infusing it with a sense of timeless appeal.

Located by Covent Garden and in the heart of theatre-land, the menus celebrate European flavours, often spotlighting lesser-known continental dishes.

Open early for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner, The Delaunay is open seven days a week. Alongside the restaurant, there is also a bar and counter setting. The Counter offers refined but easy dishes for brief stops or takeaway, whilst the bar is a cossetting and imaginative place for pre-or-post dinner cocktails.

    Located in the heart of London’s Theatreland, The Delaunay is perfectly placed for a pre-theatre supper, and our ‘Full Haus’ menu is just the ticket, with 3 courses and a drink for £29.50. The 3-course set menu has been created with all our signature European flair, featuring some of our most popular dishes, such as our Soufflé Swiss and Grilled Spatchcock Chicken. Included in the offer is a glass of house wine, beer, or soft drink. The Full Haus is available Monday – Friday 3:30pm-5pm.

Think classic finger sandwiches, delicate bakes and traditional scones served in style and set to become a cherished weekend ritual. Afternoon tea at The Delaunay is available on Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm-5pm; £34.50 per person; £49.50 including Champagne ‘Please note, we require at least 24 hours notice of any dietary requirements before the date of your booking, to ensure we can accommodate you’

    Food arrived promptly but was not particularly hot which was further compounded by being served on cold plates. The gents toilets had obviously not been checked for some time with towels all over the floor and areas around urinals not cleaned adequately. Will not return.

    Significantly better than sister restaurants at the Wolseley. The service is impeccable. Monkfish and edelweiss cocktails were the highlights.

    Whilst the food was okay the service was extremely poor. Water not replenished, no one asked if our food was okay or if we wanted another drink. 15 minutes after being given the dessert menu no one had returned to take our order. We then ran out of time as we were going to the Theatre so, 2 hours for 1 main course each - appalling! Saimir was extremely apologetic and offered a complimentary dessert but we had no time. He has offered to "look after" us if we contact him should we revisit but not sure that we will - very disappointing

    We had a wonderful meal at the Delauney. The food was lovely. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is comfortable and stylish inside, very French in character.

    Very grand French style cafe restaurant. We opted for the three course fixed price menu and were not disappointed. Excellent quality food and generous portions. We will be back.

    Excellent evening at The Delaunay. The restaurant was exceptionally busy as we’re in the midst of festive celebration, nevertheless, the service was impeccable and swift.

    We had a very good lunch, with a great Christmas vibe. My biggest complaint is they charged a cover charge AND a service charge. The restaurant was full, why a cover charge when we ordered food and drinks. Quite unacceptable in my view and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I will go back for this reason alone. UPDATE: The restaurant contacted me and was very proactive and considerate in discussing my concerns with me. There is a policy about the cover charge, it is not charged in every part of the restaurant. While I do not agree with the cover charge, I really appreciate their responsiveness. Jed, the manager, was amazingly helpful and very kind. Thank you to the restaurant for considering my views.
