A grand old dame of a pub in the centre of Herne Hill and opposite Brockwell Park. In the front, we are large, light and airy around our central island bar. Out the back, we have our large decked garden, with some shade. To eat, we serve traditional pub food with a modern approach. We go for product quality over marketing for our draught and bottled beer collection and have a range of rotating ales. Dog friendly, date-night friendly, spot of food and then drinks for a celebration friendly, bring your folks for lunch when they are visiting friendly. You get the idea - we are quite friendly.

Really nice buzzy pub and a great Sunday roast. Let down a bit by the vegan roast not being available, they wouldn’t let us order extra gravy even when we offered to pay for it and then we weren’t allowed to order any dessert “for two hours” Bit weird, but if you can get past it’s a solid roast in a lovely pub! :)

The Florence is a home from home pub - great ambience, delicious food and excellent service, particularly given the number of people they’re looking after. Everyone very welcome - children and dogs too👏😊

Every time I’ve been to The Florence, it’s always been great. The roast was wonderful, kids were more than happy with the burgers and the service was great too. We have a dog and the pub is really dog friendly, so an all round winner! We’ll be back!

Delicious food, great service. Lovely decor inside and a good sized secure outdoor garden. Plenty of tables inside and out. Definitely recommend going here. Dogs welcome too.

First visit for us and really enjoyed the experience. Super dog friendly. Tables not over cramped. Food excellent, service attentive and warm. Overall we’ll definitely go back.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Couldn't fault them. Got a little bit noisy in the evening but other than that. Lovely place.

Booked at short notice and had prompt response. Very accommodating with two guests with mobility issues. Delightful staff - very helpful and attentive during service. Delicious lunch, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we look forward to returning to try the roast.
