   Our table wasn’t ready on time which wasn’t really a big deal, but when we were seated, the front of house forgot to tell our waiter. As a result we didn’t get our menus until 25 mins after arriving. I ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and grabbed a carafe of water. Apparently people don’t normally do that sort of thing. I do! That said, once our waiter was with us he was very good. We were given free nibbles to compensate for our wait. Wife ordered sirloin rare and it was done perfectly. I had the Ivy burger which wasn’t anything to write home about and they were a bit mean with the cheese. Originally we had considered asking the waiter to remove the service charge, but he did win us around. It was a busy restaurant so we’ll cut them a bit of slack.

   I recently visited The Ivy Covent Garden and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. The service was far below expectations for such a renowned restaurant. First, we received our food before our drinks, which set the tone for a rushed and chaotic experience. The food arrived at our table within 10 minutes, which led me to believe it was pre-prepared and just reheated. It didn’t feel fresh or thoughtfully put together, and the speed at which it came out made the meal feel more like a fast-food experience than a fine dining one. To make matters worse, the restaurant felt overcrowded. We were packed in like sardines, which left little room for comfort or enjoyment. The whole atmosphere felt impersonal and cramped, which is the last thing you want when dining at a high-end establishment like The Ivy. Given the price tag, I was expecting a much higher level of service, ambiance, and overall quality. Sadly, it didn’t live up to the reputation, and I left feeling very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend it, especially considering how much it cost.

   Super friendly waiter Mario. Helped us efficiently. My mum was in a wheelchair and they couldn’t have done more to help

   Lovely decor with fantastic bar. Tasty food with good set menu. Polite wait staff. But very cold seating in half the restaurant as blast of cold air every time the door opens. You need a velvet curtain to keep the heat in! And our table was not ready when we arrived. Plus our waiter was too busy and kept being distracted. But he was friendly and polite.

   The ambiance is great with classic and elegant decoration. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, specially the chips, they were crispy and yummy.

   The table for 4 people way too small even for 3 guests, was super uncomfortable to eat. The drinks service was super slow. Took them 35 min to bring coke and juice…asked for it 3 times as well. Then coffee came without milk. Food was good as always. It’s my second time in this Ivy and last time I had very similar experience. Feels like staff is new and they don’t know what they are doing half of the time. Definitely would consider going to original Ivy in Covent Garden instead , much better ambience and service .

   Service was all over the place. No salt/pepper on the table. Our wine arrived 3/4 through the main. They bought the wrong food twice, they bought the wrong bill. Food was tasty when the correct meal arrived but ultimately let down by the service…with a 13.5% service charge already included on the bill. Despite remaining a fan of the Ivy today’s visit has not done it justice unfortunately.

    We had a great time at The Ivy Market Grill. We had booked only the day before and were lucky to get a table which was in their outside area. The weather was about 14 degrees and the area was covered with with screens all around the edge and some plants. You could only access it via the restaurant. Not at all cold with some natural ventilation and lower level of music and not as many people as inside. Fully booked all the time we were there. Got 1 hr 45 mins and had time for 3 courses and tea/coffee afterwards. Very attentive level of service. Lovely food, well presented. Highly recommend the crab starter, duck curry and chocolate bombe & creme brulee.
