It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon. Now with four restaurants, The Bar & Grill offers Brunch Lunch & Dinner.

I was expecting to order their seafood pasta that was on their on line menu and was disappointed to see that it was gone. I ordered their shrimp pasta and it was ok but I was wanting more seafood.

The food is delicious, nice view of San Francisco and waterways. Great band and dancing to Glorydayz! Coconut prawns heavily breaded deep friend perfectly with a sweet chili sauce, perfect! Ahi tower was substantial with plenty of Avocado and Ahi. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was the best meatloaf my husband ever had, moist and delicious

A great place to have lunch. A hidden gem overlooking the water. Sat at a hightop table. Our waiter was good. The burger was excellent and so was the chicken cilantro salad.

I am in a social group that meets there every week. Recently, they seem to have gotten a new chef and the food is much better than it has been for the past year so if you’ve been there in the past and you were not satisfied, please give it another try we have the best waitress in the world. Her name is Sara and we love her. She makes her experience wonderful with her love and care of us. The view is spectacular and the restaurant is lovely

The restaurant was very busy due to a show happening..so we were kinda squeezed in& people kept knocking our table!

Ample selection of food- items ordered were generous and delicious. The wait staff was friendly and very efficient. Have never been disappointed.
