My experience was not good. We had an issue, pointed it out to the waiter and asked to speak to the mgr. They said the manager was not working, took the contact information, said my husband would be contacted. 4 days later that has not happened so I’m writing the following review.
Made a reservation on OpenTable, wrote down it was my husband‘s birthday celebration. It would have been nice for the Restaurant to acknowledge that at some point during our visit, that did not happen.
We were seated at what has to be the worst table. Upstairs, way in the back, by swinging doors with a big gap to the outside. The waiter moved us after we pointed out the cold draft. We expected to have a great meal. That did not happen.
Had the bison bao. Bao should be steamed & soft. Ours was hard, it was either toasted or stayed under a heat lamp too long. The flavor of the filling was very good.
I had the salmon, it was nicely cooked. But the potatoes, Brussels and sauce were undercooked, cold & bland.
My husband had the pork chop. He said the flavor was good, but the only thing really warm was the pork chop, the rest lukewarm at best. The shoestring potatoes were cold & limp, the waiter checked w/the kitchen, said it’s the way it should be.
THE MOST DISAPPOINTING part of the meal: Husband found a 6 inch piece white cotton string in his mouth, obviously coming from his plate. Pretty disgusting. That was the end of the meal!
He showed the waiter, asked to speak to the mgr, was told they were not at the restaurant anymore that evening. The waiter removed the entree from the bill, but that does not make up for having a foreign object in his food. It also ruined his birthday celebration - and this was a big one for him.
We didn’t dump all of this on the waiter, he was doing the best he could to make up for the kitchen team. It would’ve been nice for the restaurant to have reached out as they said they would. It’s not about the money, it’s about the experience. A big letdown. Ymmv.
