    The Local has a variety of venues that have been enjoyed over the years, which can be rented out individually or all together accommodating parties over 150 seated, 200 for cocktail events. Each space offers it’s own fully-functioning bar, handcrafted tables, and a beautiful atmosphere to hold your special event. Our larger spaces are located in the upstairs portion of our restaurant, and our Wine Room is located on the main floor.

    The Local has been hosting graduates and their families for years, with a focus on style and comfort. Located in the heart of Belmont, and our expert team will make your celebration a night to remember. The cost is $65 per person before tax & gratuity. Our regular menu is not offered during graduation weekend. We require a credit card on file to hold your reservation. We will not charge anything to your card now, it's simply our way of holding your reservation. Cancellations after March 1st will result in a $20 per person fee to the credit card provided.     Hamburger was like a hockey puck, dried out. Gnocchi Bolognese was just ok. Service was very good and ambience good!

    Food was very good! However, we waited over an hour for our food after we placed our order. We ended up having to find a staff member who told us "the kitchen is closed." After they found our server, our food was brought to us with no explanation as to why it took that long.

    We’ve been there multiple times and loved it. This time the food was ok at best. The steak was the wrong temperature, the fish had no flavor, and the server didn’t even know the drink specials when we ordered something off of the special menu

    Our waitress, I think her name was Holly, was great. Very kind and welcoming. My fried chicken was delicious however the rockfish was over salted and my fil could only eat half. The drinks were fantastic! Noise in the upper back deck (with screaming kids) is always obnoxious but nothing the staff can change.

    I made a reservation at The Local for my best friend’s birthday because the description on their website seemed like the perfect place. We love locally sourced food locations back home. The wait, service, and atmosphere was great! We ordered the special for the day, which was beef tenderloin over mashed potatoes with green beans.

    The soup was way too salty. The steak entree was too much char but was medium rare as ordered. The wine we ordered was out of stock but they provided a different one that was not good. The bartender tried to convince us we were wrong. He finally gave in and we ordered a different bottle - which he cautioned us we’d have to pay for whether it was good or not. Luckily it was fine.

    James, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your recent visit here at The Local. We do use a flame grill for our steaks and sometimes they do get a little char on the outside. For the wine I apologize about being out of the wine you originally ordered. I would like to ask if you selected the replacement or was it chosen for you. I asked the bartender in the future to be more hospitable when a guest sends back a wine. I look forward to apologizing in person on your next visit. Jeff Hale General Manager The Local

    Service good however very disappointed with meals this time compared to other meals here. The Berkshire Pork chop was thin and lots of gristle and roasted squash was cold.
