For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike. One family member was extremely emotional. Dave handled it so well. We are very grateful for his knowledge and long term experience that he shared with us !

                                                                                                        Everything was wonderful- food is great, cocktails are creative, our server, Zoe, was very sweet and attentive. Overall great experience, except they did forget to give me all of my asparagus that I was very much looking forward to.

                                                                                                        We seemed rushed. The main course was served while we were still eating our salad. The entree was luke warm rather than hot. Potatoes both baked and mashed were cold.

                                                                                                        A first class operation from the time we arrived until we left. The reservation was at 6:30 andxwe were seated at 6:30 at a nice quite table. It was my girlfriend birthday. Right away the server said welcome to the Precinct thank you for selecting out established for your dining pleasure tonight. The service from our main server Greg was over and above. First class all the way! The dinner was excellent and then Greg brought over a special dessert for Becky. She nearly cried. Thank you for making her birthday very special.

                                                                                                        We went to the The Precinct for their steak and lobster special …it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent as was the service. We were seated in the upstairs area near the bar, the only thing that detracted from the experience were a group of men (older) who came in (on of whom was visibly drunk) and stood near our table while they had more drinks. They did not have reservations and were just standing waiting for a table. Unfortunately they were standing directly in the way of the wait staff, who had to keep asking them to excuse them. It would have been nice had a manager asked them to move out of the way of the wait staff and perhaps move them to another area. It was clear the wait staff didn’t feel they were in a position where they could ask this of them. It won’t keep us from going back as the food and service were excellent, but it did put a damper on what had been a very please evening.
