For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike. The Precinct also offers a quaint outdoor patio area where guests may dine.

First.. love the precinct and have been dining there since 1986. It is always exceptional but tonight it was not .. very disappointing. We were seated and then did not get recognized for another 10 minutes. Bus person very sloppily poured water into glasses leaving spatters all over and drips on me. Our server was very knowledgeable and very kind . . But not all attentive ( like the typical Jeff Ruby server experience you expect) Unfortunately, my sea bass was under cooked and it has never been under in all the time I have gotten it. Of course the manager took care of it - and went above and beyond to make it right .. and I appreciate that. Dessert was complimentary and amazing. Overall good but just wasn’t that Jeff Ruby Experience you expect ..

Service was slow waited at least 30-40 to get the check after they boxed up the dessert. With no sight of the waiter

Been here at least 40 times but in past year just feel it’s not what it used to be. Portions have decreased, consistency has fallen a bit and honestly prices have gotten out of control. So many other places you could go and not feel ripped off like j do when I leave a Ruby’s restaurant. Still great food of course.

My wife's and I made our first visit to The Precinct. It was a great experience and our server David was top notch. The whole establishment is top notch. We can't wait to return!

Overall ambiance is nice and pleasant. The food was ok but the steak was a little salty. Our waiter was great and we enjoyed our time there.
