For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike. The Precinct also offers a quaint outdoor patio area where guests may dine.

Grant was amazing! Made our night! Alec was knowledgeable and was a great waiter but Grant truly shined! Grateful to celebrate our special moments with the precinct. Thank you for the amazing memories!

The waitress was extremely pushy (my family all thought) and we did not get my brother sang to for his birthday which is why we were there, he missed his dessert then too and we asked for a new box for our steak we didn’t get. But they sure were in it with pushing alcoholic beverages! Ambiance was amazing, staff okay, food was nice but not worth the pricing. Bread was really dried out. Salads were great.

My wife and I dined here for the first time ever. We went in with big expectations due to the reviews and national acclaim. We were absolutely not disappointed. The food was incredibly delicious, with levels of rich flavor. Steak was perfectly cooked and the additional add on Mac and Cheese was exceptional. If you're going to the Precinct, you have to get a steak and they do NOT disappoint. Alec and Lizzie attended to us and did an exceptional job. They both were warm, quick and inviting. This was my birthday and Alec made us feel seen and appreciated in a way I don't feel any restaurant ever has. Anytime our glass of water would get remotely low, Lizzie was there to fill. Both of them provided incredible service, each with a glowing smile on their face and made the entire experience feel just that - an experience. I went in with mild anxiety that it wouldn't be up to the lofty standards I had built it to be, but The Precinct blew that away.

My husband and I have visited several of the Jeff Ruby restaurants, but this was our first visit to the Precinct. I have to say that I am so mad that we waited so long. The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal!! Alec and Lizzy were absolutely amazing and made a great team. They made our first experience so great that we are definitely planning to return. Both Alec and Lizzy deserve a bonus for the immaculate service that they provide.
