The Rotunda serves afternoon tea seven days a week beginning at 1:30 p.m. A tea experience reservation is necessary to enjoy our daily tea service. Any dietary restrictions must be noted at least 24 hours in advance of your reservation.

The Rotunda specializes in evening events including wedding receptions, corporate and convention dinners, cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and holiday parties. Holiday parties are especially beautiful with the four story Neiman Marcus Holiday Tree rising up through the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer guests an intimate bird's eye view of Union Square.

The Rotunda can accommodate up to 160 seated guests with a dance floor, 200 seated and 225 standing for evening events. There is a private elevator on Geary Street that takes guests directly to the restaurant after the store is closed.

This was our very first time to visit this famous place in San Francisco. We came to The Rotunda to celebrate my daughter’s Birthday and we were very pleased with the service we received. We requested for a seat on the window side on our reservation and we were very happy for them to obliged to our special request. David, our server, was very knowledgeable and nice to explain to us how the afternoon tea service works. We were able to enjoy the exquisite ambiance, food and bubbly drinks they served us. My daughter had a lot of fun and hopes to come back again.

This is a great place to go for a special occasion. We wanted to have a luxurious tea experience for Valentine's weekend. From the moment we sat down in our cozy booth, beneath the grand glass ceiling, we knew this was the place. Our waitress was lovely and the food exquisite. We can’t wait to go back again to try all the other items on the menu!

The Crab Louis salad is so delicious! And the popovers are a Neiman Marcus speciality. One of my favorite places for lunch.

Me and my husband had a lovely lunch. We had a reservation for 11:30AM and I thought it would be too early but it was the only time available for Valentine’s Day. But from ordering, to drinks to apps around 12PM which was perfect for us. Great service as well. We will definitely come back to try the afternoon tea! Baked Brie Lobster Club Rotunda Burger

If you’re tired of having too much attention in your day to day life, the Rotunda is the place for you. You can relax while you wait 15 minutes for water and another 5-10 for your pop-over and strawberry butter. After enjoying the delicious tea and finger foods (we went for afternoon tea), you can happily sit for 20+ minutes with dirty dishes and waiting for your bill. I say “20+” because it may be longer, as I eventually gave up and went to the front to pay. Oh, this is on a Wednesday, the place was only moderately busy, and a 20% gratuity is automatically charged as they give themselves a self-high-five. Go for the food, stay for the view, and leave with disappointment in your heart.

It is always a special experience to dine at the Rotunda because it is so much a part of San Francisco history and a beautiful venue! My friend Manuel had never been there so he had a blast seeing the space and enjoying the food. Ralph, our server, was polite and attentive and the food was good as always. I do enjoy a place where I am already recognized by the hosts especially since one feels like one is being greeted by family. :)
