Lovely evening with the family. Food was lovely and service fantastic - even remembering to bring gluten-free bread for one of my kids. Definitely going back.

Always a good time experience at The Royal Oak. Staff, service and food all excellent. Atmosphere and ambience all good. Highly recommend.

Wonderful simple Sunday toast served in good portions, piping hot! Can be a little noisy in the Orangery when busy due to the acoustics.

First visit for me and I will be back. One of our party had been before she recommended The Royal Oak as a place to eat. Food was great. The salmon wellington was very novel and my guests enjoyed their cottage pie. Really nice selection of food on the menu including proper pizzas to keep the kids happy. Loved the orangery and open kitchen. They over heard us saying it was our joint birthday lunch and surprised us with a plate of candles , ice cream and fudge with our dessert. Too classy for a badly sung rendition of happy birthday thankfully from the other guests 🤣.

Lovely ambiance and a beautifully decorated restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of the food does not do it justice. Very basic, poorly prepared meals (2 pizzas and 1 ham & chips) which come at quite a price,which is not justified. Service was friendly,but clearly very inexperienced. Very disappointing evening-we will not be coming back.

Excellent food and service for good prices. A warm welcome when we arrived and very pleasant ambiance. Not rushed to finish and spent an extremely relaxing 4 hours over lunch.

We had a fabulous time here. We requested a table with room for a pushchair and we got a cute little side room. The pub is full of character and lots of cute little nucks. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I'd recommend the sticky ribs!
