The Smith is a casual American brasserie with four upbeat locations in New York City: The Smith East Village, The Smith Midtown, The Smith Lincoln Square, and The Smith NoMad, as well as locations in DC and Chicago.     We visited The Smith for the first time after seeing our first Broadway show. The food was excellent, the atmosphere very welcoming and open, and the service friendly. What a great! I would highly recommend!

    My teen daughters and I had Sunday brunch here before an audition at Lincoln Center. We were pleasantly surprised by both the delicious food and the attentive yet unobtrusive service. When I mentioned that I loved the coffee, our server even wrote down the brand and variety of the coffee beans for me. We will definitely be back to this or another location of The Smith in the future!

    Great menu, great locations, good service. One of my favorite spots for brunch. Whether I want eggs, pancakes, a salad, or a burger, it's all here and done well.

    I really like this restaurant. The food is quite good and the service is friendly- as is the ambience. I had the cheeseburger and fries. They were delicious. Right across the street from Lincoln Center. I’ll be back!

    Every time I visit is the same & yet a new fresh time! I went with my standby - homemade potato chip with blue cheese. So good!!! And my friend had the calamari which she swears is the best she's ever had every time we come here! She had her usual, the salmon with mash potatoes which never disappoints while I tried their blue plate special, which was hidden in the corner of the menu. Today was baby back ribs & let me tell you... I will go there for dinner every Saturday just to have them!!! So tender & juicy without any extra sauce. You think it's strange until you take a bite! Pure heaven. They fall off the bone with your fork & are flavorful & so good. I boxed up what I couldn't finish just to tide me over until next Saturday. Always comfortably the same & yet refreshingly new & wonderful!

    Eating at The Smith, one can almost always expect very fresh and well prepared New York/American food. That is always their best menu choices. The service is friendly and prompt. It is close to all the great arts and entertainment venues in the Lincoln Center area. The only problem is the interior noise level. On a cold day when all dining is indoors, it reaches near bedlam-level.

    Convenient location to Lincoln Center. Shishito peppers were great! The salmon was good along with the French dip. Our service was excellent. Not inexpensive for good but not great food.
