James Beard nominee Chef John Sharpe put a mark on the map for Winslow Arizona restaurants when he opened Turquoise Room at the historic Fred Harvey Hotel, La Posada. Although Chef Sharpe is now retired, our southwest contemporary cuisine continues to inspire and provide a mesmerizing interpretation of Arizona food under the leadership of Executive Chef Angel Soto.     This beautiful restaurant is inside the historic La Posada Hotel and the food is always delicious. I had the shrimp pasta which was seasoned perfectly and my husband had the bacon wrapped filet Mignon. It came in a bed of mashed potato with a side vegetable and the steak was prepared just as he requested.

    We have been here numerous times..the food was outstanding .the service was outstanding and how can you go wrong with what was once a Harvey House..The setting is phenomenal..I could sit in there for hours imaging what went on in the 30's.. We have also been to Santa Fe. Legal Tender, Castaneda..The Plaza..we have stayed over night at all of them except Legal Tender. We have also attended Fred Harvey Functions..Thankfully La Posada is only about 2 hous from where we live

    Excellent food and service. Classic margarita (the 66) was too sweet and tasted like commercial margarita mix. Odd since I remember the margaritas here as good.

    We’ve been here several times, both for dinner and to stay at the hotel. It’s an unexpected treat to find a restaurant like The Turquoise Room in a small town. Service and food are exceptional. The chef is creative and uses ingredients that are from the region. Highly recommended!

    We always make a point of eating at the Turquoise Room when passing through Winslow. The ingredients and flavor combinations are superb. Excellent drinks as well. A bit pricy but appropriately so for the quality!

    We were excited to have a meal at the Turquoise Room for the first time! We had heard rave reviews about the restaurant. However, only the famous soup lived up to our high expectations. The salad was tasty but tiny, and the halibut dish was okay, but not outstanding. Most disappointing by far were the drinks. My cranberry margarita was mainly melted ice with a cranberry color and a few cranberries thrown in for garnish. My husband’s blue margarita was too sweet, and when he ordered a regular margarita, it too was too sweet, without any tangy or citrus flavor. None of the drinks had perceptible tequila. We may try the restaurant again but will stick to the soup! The service was fine.

    My husband had been here several times for lunch, and always raved about the food. This was our first time coming for dinner, and it did not disappoint. The halibut was absolutely delicious, as well as the chicken mole that my husband had. The ambience, especially being decorated for Christmas, was special.
