We are The Wilmington - known locally as 'The Wilmo'

We’ve have had a bit of a face lift recently, not everything is new - if you’ve visited us in the past, you may remember us for having the best Sunday Roast in town. We can happily confirm that it’s back…but arguably, even better!

Head chef Jamie Cousins has taken the reigns, delivering an ever-evolving menu of globally-influenced dishes that celebrate the best of British ingredients as well as some very exciting specials. You can join us for brunch, lunch or dinner as well as that glorious Sunday Roast - come try it for yourself!

A few moments walk from The Wilmington there is an NCP car park located just off Farringdon road. Several of the side streets in the area offer street parking. Please check parking restrictions before parking.
Public transit
Farringdon station is around 7-8 minutes walk away, and Angel underground station 14 minutes walk. There are a number of buses that stop very close to The Wilmington. Bus numbers 19 & 38 are the main routes offering easy access into the West End and through to Angel and East London.

Overall excellent. The Sunday roast (Cap of beef) was really great and good value for Monday at this price point. Service was attentive and genuinely delivered with care and consideration. We have been a few times now and will definitely return. Thank you all and keep up the great work. I have twenty years of experience in the hospitality sector so I'm hard to please!

My first time visiting here, I had the veggie roast while my friend had the beef roast. Both were absolutely delicious, and this has been one of our favorite Sunday roasts in a long time. The service was excellent—quick from being seated to being served. The pub itself is lovely, with a great atmosphere. We’re definitely coming back again!

Lovely server, loved all the Sunday roast - except for the beef which was tough and overcooked. Maybe just a miss today. Would go again!

Neighbourhood favourite that soars above traditional gastro pub. Service second to none, cracking food. Perfect just for popping in for a pint - or lingering to get a real glow on!

The lady who served us was so nice and hospitable. She moved us to the dining section, which was pretty and cosy. My virgin mary was very tasty. Courgetti fritti was very tasty, olives not to my taste but good quality. Everyone else enjoyed their food but sadly my vension cottage pie was badly burnt through. I should have sent it back but didn't and paying for that wasn't ideal. Desserts were good and overall we had a pleasant time. I would come back and just order a different main course.

Thank you for the comments and feedback Chan. We would have happily made a change if we were alerted to an issue or a mistake - as naturally these can happen as much as we don't want them to! Please pop in again - our menu changes frequently so lots to choose from! Team Wilmo

Thoroughly enjoyed the meals from a standard menu and chef’s specials, the way the staff looked after us and atmosphere in general. Will be back for sure.

Excellent food. Quick service. Charming, reliable, easy-going waiting staff. Acoustics / noise levels aren’t the best, but overall a great experience and I’m look forward to my next visit.

Good and service were great, Only marked down as charged nearly £6 for bottled water so over £20 for 4 bottles?!
