The secret hideaway – named one of The World’s 50 Best Bars by Drinks International – is led by cocktail expert Kevin Beary. Our team has researched tirelessly to source and create the best possible cocktails using the freshest exotic fruits and spices, the finest rums and distilled spirits, and juices and elixirs that are cold-pressed and concocted in house every day. The Bamboo Room is tucked away inside of Three Dots and a Dash. Named one of Esquire's "Best Bars in America," The Bamboo Room offers a tailored experience through the world of rum in an intimate environment. Enjoy high end renditions of tropical cocktails featuring rare spirits carefully crafted by attentive expert bartenders. A $15.00 Deposit is required to make this reservation. Deposit is nonrefundable & will be applied towards final bill. We are a 21+ venue.

Leave behind the winter chill and escape to our tropical hideaway to ring in 2025 with signature cocktails and a live DJ. General Admission reservations include five tropical cocktails per guest in the bar area. Seating is not designated for general admission, please select a table or booth reservations for guaranteed seating. Each general admission experience is valid for 1 guest per reservation. My girlfriend and I came to Chicago for a little mid-week getaway, partially for the holidays, partially for our anniversary, and Bamboo Room gave us everything we wanted. The atmosphere was low-key and intimate. The music was groovy and fun without being intrusive. John, the bartender was, as expected, incredibly knowledgeable. He was friendly and attentive and helped us pick out the drinks that were best for us - I was mainly there for rum, and she was mainly there for cocktails. The Tomato Presidente was a fascinating and unique experience, like biting into a fresh, sweet tomato but with rum, but honestly, the cocktail we'll remember most is the bespoke Kingston Negroni that John whipped up off the cuff with Cocchi Americano Rossa and Hampden HLCF Classic. Probably the best Kingston Negroni either of us have had, and we've had quite a few. Of course, the rum selection is one of the best in the city, and considering the rarity of some of the bottles, being able to get flights of several little tastes of things allowed me to sample some rums I might never see again without the price getting out of control. We also got the Thai fried chicken which was the perfect little bar snack to go with our drinks. Bamboo Room is not cheap; most people can't stop in on a regular basis for $25 cocktails, but it is a truly one-of-a-kind experience and a must for lovers of rum and/or expertly made drinks.

Shout out to Bamboo Room bartender and rum expert Taylor for another fantastic experience! My wife and I are regular guests at Bamboo Room, which never disappoints. But on this particular trip, I ordered two rounds of the Bamboo Daiquiri - this was my first time with that drink. The guest is offered to choose a blend of three rums with just a touch of lime and sugar. Taylor asked me if I had a preference, but I asked him to please put one together for me and I'd like to learn from it. The results were spectacular. He made two different daiquiri's with three rums - both were delicious and were two different drinks based on the rums he chose. The he offered to give me a sip of each rum and walked me through the characteristics. What a great experience, and we look forward to having drinks with Taylor again!
