With a secret alleyway entrance, Three Dots and a Dash is a speakeasy-style take on the traditional island bar—ready to transport you to the glamorous bygone eras of Trader Vic, Stephen Crane and Don the Beachcomber. Descend underground to discover a subterranean hideaway featuring a rum-soaked menu of more than two dozen classic, modern and original tropical cocktails and a selection of island fare. The secret hideaway – named one of The World’s 50 Best Bars by Drinks International – is led by cocktail expert Kevin Beary. Our team has researched tirelessly to source and create the best possible cocktails using the freshest exotic fruits and spices, the finest rums and distilled spirits, and juices and elixirs that are cold-pressed and concocted in house every day. The Bamboo Room is tucked away inside of Three Dots and a Dash. Named one of Esquire's "Best Bars in America," The Bamboo Room offers a tailored experience through the world of rum in an intimate environment. Enjoy high end renditions of tropical cocktails featuring rare spirits carefully crafted by attentive expert bartenders. A $15.00 Deposit is required to make this reservation. Deposit is nonrefundable & will be applied towards final bill. We are a 21+ venue.

The bamboo room's NYE experience was terrific. The drinks and service were excellent. It was the perfect quiet space to enjoy Tiki without the noose of the main venue. The staff truly loves Tiki culture, and it shows.

We only had drinks but the drinks were amazing! My second time at Three Dots. But far from my last. This will be a must-go every time I’m in Chicago.

Booked the Bamboo Room and it was well worth it. Our bartender, Matt was exceptional with his service, knowledge of drinks, and just an all a round great guy! We will definitely be back! Great job Matt hoping we run into you again next time we are there!

Unfriendly bouncers at door. No communication. Slightly too dark, not festive. Cocktails only fair. Disappointment.

Some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had! The bar tender was amazing, they were out of a couple of ingredients of the cocktail I chose and he made an amazing alt that was one of my fav ever cocktails. We loved the bamboo room and were very happy to have pre-booked and skip the long line. Thank you for a great evening!

The cocktails here are some of the best in Chicago. They are made with attention and detail, and are beautifully balanced and delicious. The Mahi tacos were delicious, and the sweet potato fries were better than I’ve ever had. My partner and I were wonderfully taken care of by our server and the hosts up front. We love it here, and return whenever we can!

We didn’t eat anything. The one thing we tried ordering they didn’t have… they don’t have much to choose from. Besides that…. This place is a 5 star experience! The drinks we had were out of this world. Note worthy, the skulls next to the name of the drink is the strength level of alcohol! The place is cool. I’ve never been to anything like it. It’s hidden away and private. I really really enjoyed this place. I would recommend it to anyone! Can’t wait to go back.
