I enjoyed my time at Tony and Joes on Thanksgiving Day 2024. The host, staff and manager were very pleasant and eager to see that my family and myself had enjoyed our visit. The food was well prepared and I enjoyed the view of the Potomac river. I will come back again.

Food was not prepared well because it was very bland somewhat like airline food. I have been going there for over 30 years and never had poorly prepared food before. Maybe buffet is not their thing anymore

Dinner before going to a performance at the Kennedy Center. Being within easy walking distance provides more options for patrons. Good food in a pleasant environment with Potomac water views.

Great waterfront location but interior decor was tired, drab and really needs an upgrade…horrible music with a thumping beat that was annoying. The staff were courteous but not especially knowledgable about the various offerings on the menu. The caesar salad and clam chowder were nothing special but the steamer clams were very well presented in a fantastic broth. The fried calamari was tasty and breaded just right. The caprese salad was fresh and very flavorful. I think a few adjustments to the interior decor and ambience along with some more interesting menu choices could help fill the nearly empty and sterile dining room…the restaurant next door is packed with guests so there are definitely people around that want to eat out in this location.

It was for refreshing to have a dinner in the city where you could hear the person across the table from you. Very rare in Washington DC these days. The food was excellent, and our server was thoughtful and appropriately attentive. One of my pet peeves is that in most restaurants untrained bus boys are yanking plates off the table while others are eating. This goes on throughout the whole end of the dinner service and it's irritating AF. Either this staff is trained properly or because it was slower. No one was trying to turn the table. Either way, I appreciated not feeling rushed. This was the Thursday night and it was a little rainy, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. When I come back next time, I hope to have another quiet evening in the dining room. It was really nice to not have to scream across the table to have a conversation.

Crab cake dinner was just okay; crabs cake had to much filler and mixture of vegetables wasn’t a good accompaniment.

Different than previous experiences here. Was expecting brunch. Seems they no longer offer that. Looked like the restaurant was remodeling. There were boxes everywhere.
