Ring in the New Year at Top of the Mark's Gala, with gourmet dining, live music, and spectacular views to toast the year ahead in style. Includes pre-dinner reception, 5-course dinner, party keepsakes, Libation Lounge, performance by The Mark Hopkins Orchestra, midnight toast, and balloon drop. Reception at 8:00 pm; Dinner at 9:30 pm; Evening concludes at 1:00 am. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Cancellations made more than TWO weeks prior to the reservation date are free of charge. Not as good as we expected and remembered. Patrons not dressed up as much. Great views, of course, but nothing special. All and all, it was OK but still disappointing.

We thought it was okay for a 'one off" Christmas experience in San Francisco but believe it was overly subscribed and too busy. To include Turkey would be nice next year with Christmas Pudding...

We have been enjoying Christmas Brunch at the Top of the Mark for over 25 years. This year was the best organized and the "people flow" was so much better. Excellent food and the lovely young woman who made my yummy omelet was so professional and crisp and fun to watch. I understand that the new manager, is Amu" I think is her name, who wore a spectacular magenta dress, kept everything smoothly running and was so gracious. I had the privilege of thanking her personally. Frank was our expert server (he has worked there over 25 years) and he was unruffled and did not miss a beat even when dealing with the crass and rude and snarky pair who sat behind us. THANK YOU Mark Hopkins for making our Christmas, yet again, memorable.

Top of the Mark never disappoints!! We’ve been coming to the Christmas Eve buffet for 25+ years. We always request Joe to be our server as he is the best!! He is friendly, attentive and just the sweetest person. Food is delicious, although the dessert selection is a bit of a let down. Decorations, live piano music, the view all make the evening so special. One particular issue I have with some of the diners is that they look like they just rolled out of bed. Jeans and sneakers are not appropriate and I wish there was a dress code. It doesn’t get any more elegant, people should have more respect with how they present themselves. Just my opinion.

Our dinner at the Top of the Mark was wonderful. Very festive, great views, delicious food. The servers kept refilling our glasses with bubbly.

It was almost Christmas when we visited so it was very crowded. So the noise level was high and service was slow. The view course was beautiful. I’m glad I went once but I would not go back.

Unfortunately the experience fell short of my expectations. The furniture was cheap, decorations were minimal, they were understaffed and the whole mood was giving sad. For $23 a cocktail I would expect more.

Outdated. Needs a refresh. Service was good and drinks were good, but vibe wasn’t as great as I remembered in the past. Wouldn’t go back as is.
