We came for a late lunch and found even at a quiet time, Toscano’s high standards remain consistent. We were greeted by both Amy and Richard (with whom we had time to discuss their recent chapter, and accolades, in a best selling author’s latest release). We were fortunate that Daniel was available so we had his usual impeccable service. On a lovely day we started with incredible prosciutto and fresh mellon followed by bolognese for both (bolognese is a treat for us here, it is so good we limit it somewhat so we enjoy and remember all the other amazing treats on the menu). Of course we had the blueberry tart for dessert, though again, every offering is decadent. We shared two lovely wine selections, our favorite white and an incredible red selected by Amy. Before we headed out (to Logan for vacation) we booked our favorite hotel (The Lenox) on our return for one night just so we could come back for another evening at Toscano. Toscano is just that good.

The food is amazing. When you use the freshest ingredients with beautiful preparation, there is no need to hide behind complexity. This is how I would characterize Toscana. On top of that they are absolutely wonderful about working with dietary restrictions. Our server was so kind and creative in putting together a meal that worked with my restrictions. The ambience is lovely. We will be back next time we are in town. Thank you Toscana.

My swordfish was dry and fishy, and the portion of vegetables was poor. Besides that I really like the ambience and the service was good.

We were really excited to eat here having walked past and liked the look, but the food disappointed. My partner chose a risotto which had none of the creaminess you would expect, and we’re not sure a risotto rice was used to prepare it. My pasta vongole was watery and had no real taste to it. There was a very strong smokiness from the kitchen which irritated my eyes. Our waiter was great however, and we enjoyed a good bottle of red wine.
