Since its inception, Tulio has been a regular on restaurant awards lists, thanks in no small part to Chef Walter Pisano, whose cooking is inspired as much by his travels through the Old World as his Italian roots. Tulio’s dishes are simple yet sophisticated, combining rustic Italian preparations with local ingredients to create bold flavors and an unforgettable dining experience. Recognizing that our guests have different tastes and dining preferences, we proudly offer several gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes on each of our daily menus. Whether you are planning a small meeting, an intimate dinner, or a grand cocktail party, we look forward to accommodating you at our downtown Seattle venue, conveniently located on the corner of 5th Avenue and Spring Street, adjacent to Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle (we can even offer your guests limited valet parking through the hotel). Our private dining room, Solaio, features 660 square feet of flexible event space ideal for wedding receptions, corporate breakfasts, board meetings, cocktail parties and more. Chef Pisano has specially designed menus for your function, or you can customize your own. We are happy to assist with any planning details to make for an unforgettable private event.

Brought my fiancé to Tulio. Shasta immediately took us under his wing and helped us navigate our way to a creative and immersive dining experience. He even went the extra mile to make my fiancés birthday even more memorable by brining us extra on and off the menu items. 10/10 would come back again…and bring others to share this wonderful experience again with us.

We had a booth for 4 and ate around 6pm. Food was superb! Butternut squash soup was outstanding. Right temperature and very flavorful. Orecchiette was delicious as well. They knocked it out of the park. We had orecchiette for 4 weeks in Sept-October of last year in Puglia and this was as good or better! Waitress was great and just the right amount of attentiveness. Can’t wait to go back again. Won’t wait 20 years to do it.

Tulio has been around forever, since 1992 to be exact, and was the love child of founder and Chef Walter Pisano who pioneered West Coast Cuisine with a focus on sourcing local ingredients while being true to his family and heritage. Tulio, with Walter at the helm, changed the course of culinary expectations in Seattle, just as Alice Walters and Chez Panisse set the stage for California Cuisine (a.k.a. Nouvelle Cuisine) that forever changed the landscape of American Cuisine. Although Walter recently retired in November, his legacy continues to be reflected in the mission and spirit of Tulio. Having said that, I had an amazing dinner at Tulio. The restaurant is an unassuming neighborhood destination, centrally located on 5th Ave., caddy corner to the Seattle Public Library (which is worth a trip to the neighborhood itself), beautiful location on the corner street level of the Kimpton Hotel Vintage. The space has old school charm, and is comfortable and welcoming. The service is informed, professionally, and helpful. Shasta was my waiter on my recent visit (and in the past), his suggestions, particularly with the wine pairings, made for an excellent experience. The food is, and has been consistently amazing. The focus is on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and after 32+ years the kitchen continues to meet and exceed expectations. Disclaimer, I live out of town and dine at Trulio 1 to 3 times a year; however, I've been a patron since 2001. I always come back for the gnocchi which imho has been the star of the menu since God created Adam and Eve, then I realize the unassuming menu has so much to offer. In addition, the wine list is educated and well curated even though it may seem limited. Who needs pages of vintages when you're only going to chose a bottle or two to pair with your meal? Here's the deal, centrally located and comfortable atmosphere, excellent and educated service, AND great consistent food that is localy sourced.

We dined early, preParamount show. The service was high quality and efficient, not rushed. Excellent food and the sound level was low as we were dining early. Tulios is a high quality dining experience with good value in today’s restaurant market!

One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, tucked away on a street corner in the Kimpton Hotel. Classily little spot, excellent (and authentic) Italian fare, from the appetizers to the desserts and liquors. Lovely spot, great food, exceptional service, and manager attentive to every detail, this is a a delightful experience.

We love us some Tulio's. It is just so wonderful to dine in an establishment that is more than excellent, it is confident in its excellence. The service is fun, helpful and friendly, and the food delicious. Be sure to sample the grapefruit "Limoncello"

The food was just ok but our server, William, was absolutely astounding, attentive and funny. Without him I would've given this place a poor review. The hostess was very good, too.
