First time going to Tuscany. The appetizers were very good. Tried the calamari and the meatballs. Both were done well, with the calamari a very pleasant surprise. Crispy, light, and cooked to perfection. The ladies both got the lemon chicken piccata. Both said the lemon was way too strong. The gentlemen both got the lamb shank special. It was cooked perfectly and had very rich flavors. Desserts were all very good with the 7' 4" chocolate cake, the peach sorbet, and the cheesecake all being sweet and tasty.
The service was summed up when one of the ladies said, MEH. Our server was asked for a recommendation of which was better, the chicken or the gnocchi. She described the dishes practically word for word from the menu and gave a description on how to make gnocchi. Which we knew already. Didn't make a recommendation. The service was slow and it was like she was forgetting us right in the middle of changes. Even to the point of one of the ladies trying to discretely get her attention, but she just walk right by and didn't even glance at our table. Right by meaning she brushed a chair at the table. In addition, she totally did not serve the Caesars salad, but at least kept it off the bill.
There was a very large party there, which is why the noise level was moderate. Not too distracting, but noticeable. The overall ambiance was very nice. The food was served hot. The glasses were kept full.
Overall, it was a nice night with great companions. We will go here again.
