Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    Our waitress was stretched thin. She had far too many tables to wait on. I had to send my steak back twice and it still wasn’t cooked properly. I order my steak medium-well and it came rare both times. Ulele has always been one of our favorite restaurants to go to on special occasions but this was our last time.

    Awesome experience from the time we entered the building. Hostess was attentive and very kind our server. Ivan was amazing. Great recommendations super friendly very attentive. The food was also outstanding overall great experience.

    Filet mignon was delicious. Wine was excellent service was excellent. We ordered a seafood risotto and the risotto was very hard. Very disappointed.

    This was our second time dining at Ulele and it was just as good if not better than the first. Despite it being Valentine’s Day the food and drinks came out in good time and everything we ordered was exactly as it should have been. The Barbacoa shrimp was delicious and the oysters are some of the freshest and best tasting we’ve had in Florida. Two of us ordered filet mignon medallions as a special and they were cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the bourbon butter cake with vanilla ice cream and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we will definitely go back again!

    Had the most amazing waitress her name is Bre She orchestrated our entire lunch so that everything was spaced out, our entrees arrived shortly after we were done eating our appetizer and dessert after we finished our entrees. She was like a ninja with removing dirty dishes from our table 😂 the food was excellent and my wife really enjoyed her Expresso martini. We will most certainly look forward to our next visit !!!
