Umberto’s of New Hyde Park is truly a family tradition and one of New York’s most highly acclaimed Pizzeria & Restaurants. Although we may be best known for our Grandma Pizza – which was featured on the Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”, we also feature a wide array of Authentic Italian specialties. Specialty Pizza, Heroes, Baked Clams, Salads, Seafood… You’ll find it all at Umberto’s, prepared from the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. Not the same Umbertos. I was not aware that they went through a renovation. It seems they took over the space next door and expanded. The downstairs used to be a nice small intimate dining room. It is now a large space that now has a very commercial feel. You'd think you were in a chain restaurant. It is nice, just not the same. Service is not the same either and the food is not as good as it was. We will not be going back. Also, they used to play Italian music. Now you would think you were in a dance club. The music is too loud. Im there to eat, not dance.

Food great. Waiter Rene terrible. He completely ignored us. Techno loud music distracting. Extra fee to use credit card...shame on you Umbertos. We will not be back.

Four generations of my family enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner here and had a wonderful time. The staff and manager were extremely accommodating with my 94 year old grandmother in wheel chair who needed minced food, my two young kids, and my very picky dad. All the food and wine were delicious. We would highly recommend!

The service was amazing. The staff is very nice. The food was excellent and the manager gave a cheesecake on the house for our 30th anniversary. We’ve been there before and we’ll be back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
