Contemporary American: Portraying what Sonoma County has to offer with refined elegance and simplicity.


We will showcase what the region has to offer by focusing on the amazing network of farmers and artisan producers in the area. The relationships we have formed with our purveyors have given us the opportunity to work with what is available while providing the flexibility of changing our menu weekly.


We are determined to provide warm and personable service by dedicated professionals who love what they do. Every guest will feel as if we were inviting them into our own homes.


The wine program is inspired by the incredible history and diversity of the region that surrounds us. Here you can explore classic varieties made by the pioneers whose dedication has made Northern California one of the most exciting wine growing regions in the world.

    The wait staff was wearing hooded sweatshirts and yelling a different language through the meal. It gave the ambience of a taqueria. Also, serving prime steak and then insisting on topping it with a chimichurri sauce ruined the perfect cook of an excellent steak

    Valette in Healdsburg offers undeniably incredible food—fresh, modern, and familiar with a creative twist. If this review were based solely on the cuisine, it would be a glowing five-star experience. Every bite was a testament to the skill and thoughtfulness of the kitchen, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, the service and overall ambiance fell short of expectations. We arrived early for our reservation and, due to their packed bar, were directed to Duke’s around the corner for a drink. While Duke’s turned out to be a fantastic recommendation, the experience left us feeling like an afterthought at Valette. When we returned, the front-of-house staff seemed stressed and disengaged. There was no warm welcome or effort to make us feel valued—just a rushed handoff to our table. Our waiter’s attention seemed heavily skewed toward other tables, likely regulars. His lack of charisma with us was especially noticeable as we saw him charmingly engaging with others nearby. The support staff and manager added to the tense atmosphere, with the latter audibly critiquing team members in a way that detracted from the dining room experience. The overall vibe felt harried and far removed from the polished hospitality we had anticipated based on their reputation. It’s a shame the service didn’t match the excellence of the food, as Valette has so much potential. Hopefully, our experience was an anomaly, as the kitchen’s talent deserves a front-of-house operation that complements it.

    Always an awesome experience. Top notch Sonoma County cuisine; while feeling like you’re eating at your favorite family’s home! This is a must visit in Northern California!

    Valette is a very nice spot. Wine pours are on the short size and are pricy. Menu is quite limited but the quality is good. My view is expensive for value received.

    Food and service are always on point. The scallop dish is a must. If drinking wine, go with something from Europe as the mark-up isn’t bad (can’t say that for the Cali wines).
