Chef Jenny believes strongly in the importance of fresh, healthy food while supporting the local community and strives to create flavourful inspired cuisine using high quality ingredients sourced from a variety of trusted local producers. Featured small plates include black truffle arancini, ahi tuna crudo-horseradish aioli, kumquat salsa and the Signature Sweet Potato Gnocchi with wild boar bacon and gorgonzola, as well as more substantial offerings, such as house made tortellini stuffed with mortadella with a slow cooked pork ragu, Steak Frites-New York steak with peppercorn sauce, truffle parmesan frites, and the signature Seafood Platter!

    Really enjoyed our first visit to Vero Bistro. The food was excellent, and our server was courteous and professional. Really appreciated the restaurant recommendations for our upcoming visit to Italy. Would have preferred to get our main courses a little quicker, but it was a busy night, so it wasn't a major issue. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu on our next visit.

    Great food, great service, great vibe, great wine, great cocktails. Pricey but worth it. We had a fantastic time, the surf and turf platter was awesome, along with the wine pairing. Tiramisu was amazing. There was a raspberry cocktail that blew me away, and as cocktails go, it didn’t even seem very expensive.

    Our special occasion dinner at Vero Bistro was fabulous. The food and service were excellent. We were most impressed with the creative recipes and exceptional preparation. We shall return.

    This place is a real gem. My husband doesn't like to eat out as the food is just ok most places. But not here the food is amazing, service is awesome.

    As a birthday celebration (2) it was unfortunately not as previously memorable experiences. Too busy on a Saturday, weekday service was better. Charged me $10 for a sorbet with frozen berries on a good sized bill for 4, this made the experience underwhelming. Compared to the last AMAZING dinner we had there in the summer, I can’t give it the same rating.

    Vero Bistro is a wonderful restaurant! We invited friends to join us; they have some dietary issues that were met with elegance and grace. Chef Jenny’s offerings represent an aesthetic not common in Calgary. The food is beautifully presented and tastefully prepared. At front of house, we were warmly welcomed by Michael and well treated by our server, Riley. Dining at Vero is like dining at the home of a good friend. We’ve been patrons and fans for 16 years and look forward to many many more opportunities to enjoy their hospitality ❤️

    Went to Vero for NYE and so enjoyed the food, and ambiance of the night. Jenny did an amazing job w the menu and the staff did a great job. Thank you Vero for a great evening! Happy 2025!
