It was Christmas Eve and there were hardly any decorations and no table cloths, and the place just felt cold. It actually was quite cold inside too. The waiter was great, really liked him, but the food was just ok. Just expected a little extra warmth to the place since they were open for Christmas Eve.

We arrived and were seated. We ordered drinks. Then ordered dinner. My partner ordered cioppino but was delivered a shrimp and pasta dish. We were at this restaurant a month ago and they brought me a dish I didn’t order. For the sake of time I just accepted the substitutions. There was a price adjustment on the first mistake and a smaller adjustment on the second time. . Interestingly it was the same waiter both times. We have decided that eating there is too stressful so we won’t be going back.

We live up past Sacramento but were in Modesto again for an event. We have been here twice before and returned again this evening. We return because the food is delicious, it is reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly and efficient. Tonight was no different. My wife had the chicken marsala and I had the calamari steak. Both were new items for us as we wanted to try something different than our previous visits. Once again we found both well prepared and delicious. We have yet to find a favorite entree, as everything we have tasted has been great. We would highly recommend giving them a try and we will certainly be back when we visit Modesto again. Thanks Oscar for the great service!

I love Veronas. It’s the best in town. I loved my tortellini but my friend ordered the sole ($34!). It hadn’t been crusted and looked pale, oily and anemic and only had a dot of the dill aoli. In the past it’s always come crusted in nuts or parm. This looked sad. Suggesting they crust it and serve it with a decent amount of sauce. She wasn’t happy with it.

My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here tonight. I ordered the Halibut which was on special and it did not disappoint. My mom ordered the Chicken Parmesan and loved her meal as well. She had a good portion left over too so she got two meals out of her entree. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family or anyone looking for a nice Italian restaurant.

Food was delicious. My wife had the lasagna and I had the parpadelle. Both were great and bothe were decent size portions for the cost. Price seemed very reasonable for what we received. Our server was friendly and efficient. Usually we take our time for a dinner out, however we were going to an event at the Gallo center and let him know our time crunch and he made sure that we were well taken care of in a timely manner. We will definitely be back.

The food and service was outstanding. I had their scallop special and my dining companion had the halibut special. My scallops were perfectly cooked. For desert we had a poached pear with a Roquefort cheese and honey coated toastets which was to die for. The flavor of the pear with what it had been poached in just melted in my mouth, it was so delicious. It paired amazingly with our wine which was a bottle of 8 Days in the desert. It was a very enjoyable evening.
