The Village Anchor offers a unique setting in Louisville’s east end, both for personal and professional occasions. The Village Anchor Restaurant and Anchor Bar on the main floor bring together stone, red leathers, rich worn velvets, wrought iron, dark woods, Italian appointments, Carrera marble, and the original crimson red beer taps from Churchill Down’s Silks Bar. It offers an upscale-casual, fun environment with an inimitable European flavor and exotic French flair. The lower level Sea Hag Pub offers a completely different look and feel. The “Hag” brings together brick, worn woods, hand-wrought iron, stone, and copper. The 30-foot copper bar with built-in ice troughs chill your favorite brew or wine.

Please recognize that we do our best to accommodate patio dining reservations, though seating is based on weather and availability.

One of my Louisville favorites but left very disappointed tonight. We took a friend to celebrate her birthday. Appetizers were both very good, wonton eggrolls & the cheesy spinach’s dip with pita chips. For our entree 3 of us ordered the 8oz Filet with different sides. When it arrived, ok it wasn’t presented very nice but it was the quality of the filet that was very poor, No flavor, dry, cold. The sides were also not warm and seemed out of season. We’ve been here many times over the last decade. We’ve even had this same entree several times. We thought we knew what to expect. Maybe an off night but will think twice next time we think of recommending or returning.

Love the updated menu that includes some LeMoo and Grassa Gramma favorites and a few other dishes. As always the meatloaf burger and green chili wontons are fabulous. Ryan, our server was delightful and our group of six had a delicious dinner on a Saturday evening.

Toast was not toasted, and poached eggs well done vs medium. Excellent bacon elevated the experience from poor to satisfying! Service was decent but our waitress took the untoasted bread right off my plate, back into the kitchen to toast again and I had to ask for it again as my meal was almost done and cold before it finally arrived again. Not what I expected from Village Anchor.
