The Village Anchor offers a unique setting in Louisville’s east end, both for personal and professional occasions. The Village Anchor Restaurant and Anchor Bar on the main floor bring together stone, red leathers, rich worn velvets, wrought iron, dark woods, Italian appointments, Carrera marble, and the original crimson red beer taps from Churchill Down’s Silks Bar. It offers an upscale-casual, fun environment with an inimitable European flavor and exotic French flair. The lower level Sea Hag Pub offers a completely different look and feel. The “Hag” brings together brick, worn woods, hand-wrought iron, stone, and copper. The 30-foot copper bar with built-in ice troughs chill your favorite brew or wine.

Please recognize that we do our best to accommodate patio dining reservations, though seating is based on weather and availability.

Even with a reservation, took a bit to be seated and get drink service. Tables close together, and didn’t feel private. The food was delicious and appropriately priced. We would eat there again.

Stephanie is a great bartender! The Bellinis are delicious. The chicken and waffles was a good choice for brunch. Can’t beat the ambience here!

I’m sorry but the Rueben sandwich was very disappointing. Too much bread. Not enough sauerkraut. Not enough thousand island dressing!

Service was excellent. Filet had to be returned and really didn’t have a favor when returned. Wife’s hot brown was good. Location shouldn’t dictate an over price glass of bourbon, but…

Great atmosphere for a date night! We were greeted by two very friendly fellas and an offering of champagne! Seated immediately by the warm fireplace in a half booth table for 2. Our waitress seemed really busy, but we didn’t see the other tables she was serving and it took quite a bit of effort to obtain sweetener for my iced tea. She was very pleasant and friendly. Gave great enthusiasm for the food she was serving. We started with the green chile wontons and they did NOT disappoint! Very tasty, but exploded with every bite so eat them over your plate to save yourself from cheesy goodness all over yourself! LOL I order the Hotter Brown and my husband chose the LeMoo Stroganoff. Both were delicious. We both want to try the fried chicken and chili on our next visit! Parking isn’t great, especially on a busy night, but it is free.

We had a reservation for 6 at 11:45. We were seated fairly quickly and service was good considering the Brunch Rush. Appetizers came out pretty quickly (I recommend the Goat Cheese Gateau). Entrees were good - but the Fried Pancetta was a little overwhelming. I’d suggest not getting a sandwich as the bread takes up valuable plate real-estate. All-in-all a great and classic Louisville experience!

Our reservation was at 945 - we didn’t know the kitchen closed at 10. They still welcomed us in and treated us kind.
