   We had a great time, as always. What particularly shines at Vin Rouge is the exceptional service. Spencer was excellent. We appreciated the care with the birthday at our table.

   I went for dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday and Vin Rouge did a wonderful job of making it special! Our waiter was beyond excellent and the food was amazing! Vin Rouge is my favorite restaurant in all of North Carolina. They are consistent without being stagnant and have not fallen into trying to keep up with passing fads or trends. They are truly exceptional for French dining! I dont want them to stop doing what they are doing. I would like to see more options for wines by the glass! One thing they do well is wine! Often restaurants open in NC touting regional food but serve non regional wine - obviously they don't last. Vin Rouge has the wine, the food, the ambiance, the staff - back and front - and they know what they are doing! Thanks to everyone there for making my birthday dinner quite memorable! I will continue to patronize Vin Rouge!

   Overall, great experience everybody was super nice and attentive. The food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back. Must try the French onion soup.

   Brunch was delicious! Raw oysters were medium size and very tasty. French onion soup is a must try, 10/10. I got the hanger steak and it was tender, cooked as ordered, flavorful! Our server was Lexi and she was attentive and appropriately interactive. We will definitely be back!

   From the start it was a great night. We had a drink at the bar whilst waiting for our table to be readied. The bartender (sorry I did not catch her name) was friendly and made a great Manhattan. Our server, Spencer, was excellent, attentive but not hovering. The poisson du jour was sea bass and prepared perfectly. Further, the caramelized onion & goat cheese tart was particularly good this evening. The desserts, profiterole and a caramel tart, were also great. We liked the slightly altered arrangement of the tables, which are now larger, as this helped keep the background noise to a very reasonable amount. This is one of our favourite, if not our most favorite, restaurants in Durham.

   Energetic is not the right word for the noise level. It was loud. Conversation very hard to have. Food and service was good.
