Chef Tyler Florence brings his passion for high quality and style to San Francisco with his new flagship restaurant, Wayfare Tavern. A classic San Francisco Tavern featuring authentic American dishes inspired by local cuisine at the turn of the 20th century, the menu ranges from classic comforts to rustic delicacies. The beverage menu features locally-sourced wines including a selection of Florence's own label, quality draft beers and organic root beer as well as classic Victorian-era cocktails.

All three floors of the restaurant have been designed keeping historical accuracy in mind making Wayfare Tavern reminiscent of a Victorian parlor and an Edwardian men's club, where anything goes from black-tie to blue jeans. Pull up a stool to the Chef's Counter at the open kitchen and look on as Chef prepares your lunch or head to the Library and Billiard Room for a game of pool.     From December 22nd to December 30th, Wayfare Tavern's Sequoia Room, located on the 4th floor, will transform into a glamorous, cozy escape, and you’re invited to join the party! Enter through the 558 1/2 Sequoia Entrance and step into a festive affair as our pop-up serves up holiday magic with a dash of speakeasy allure. Dress to impress and bring your festive spirit! This Cocktail Bar Experience offers holiday-inspired cocktails, small bites, and a few indulgent desserts. While these options provide light nibbles, they are not intended to replace a full meal. For a more robust dining experience, we suggest making a reservation in Wayfare Tavern's Dining Room. Celebrate the season with us in style!

                                            This is not a Sports Bar. It is far better even than Gastropub. This is a higher end restaurant with a welcoming bar scene. It is a go-to for good food in a lively social environment.

                                            We are frequent this place often. This host was awesome. He’s the reason we will be back. Never experienced a host to be so friendly and welcoming. The waitress we had was awesome too. What a nice experience to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

                                            It was an absolute joy to have brunch at Wayfare Tavern on Sunday (11/17). I had the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast and the Tavern Burger and my wife had the West Coast Oysters and the Fruit and Yogurt. Everything was delicious. Smoked salmon is phenomenal on avocado toast and my burger was a perfect medium rare. Tony cam over and said hello which is always appreciated and it was great to spend a few minutes catching up with Tyler Florence. Service was lightning fast and attentive. The ambiance was busy but cozy at the same time. What a great farewell brunch. Best of luck in the new digs.
