Our contemporary New England cuisine has been rooted in the local and seasonal long before they were the mots du jour on menus across the country. At our AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star restaurant, we showcase incredible ingredients sourced through specially cultivated relationships with the farmers, fishermen and foragers of coastal Maine and just beyond for beautifully-presented, always inspired dishes that encapsulate the very essence of our spectacular setting.

We have a smart casual dress code; jackets are preferred, but not required. Shorts, sportswear, and flip-flops are forbidden in the dining room.

    This was our second time having dinner there and this time we stayed at the inn which I also highly recommend. Service from everyone is excellent, food is so good and the live piano player is a nice touch, but not too loud so you could have a conversation.

    Had to request bread. Large group of people were too boisterous. Behavior may be appropriate in an IHOP but not a 5 Star Restaurant. Had to wait excessive time at coat check. Overall disappointed in the experience.

    I have been looking to stay and dine at The White Barn for a while and finally was able to experience it. They gave us the best table which was right by the windows with the trees and the lights exactly how I pictured it. The staff and service were outstanding. I love the rustic barn style and the history behind it. The piano player was amazing. Each table had fresh flowers for decoration and the oil lamps. The food presentation was beautiful however the food quality was just average. We did the choose 4 options and they were just ok. The best part of the whole meal was the box of chocolates we received at the end. I think it’s a good experience and I’m glad I did it but the price does not justify the quality or quantity of the food.

    Amazing experience from start to finish. Food, service, and atmosphere were unmatched. We ordered from the prix fixe menu but received several additional tasters in between courses, each one delicious. Would highly recommend for a special night out!

    We meet relatives there every year for a holiday dinner. Although the place is perfect in every way the food this year was not as well done as years past. The beet in my Warm Beet Salad was not cooked through, my snapper, while the salsa verde was delicious, was way over cooked, and the piece was so small I was still hungry! For the price of the prix fixe, I expect a delicious satisfying meal. We may look elsewhere for next years holiday dinner

    My wife and I celebrate our anniversary at White Barn every year and the food and service never disappoint. If you go, ask to sit in Peter’s section. He makes the experience. He is so knowledgeable about the menu and the wine and makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed.

    The White Barn Inn is not just a dinner but an experience. We have dined there several times and it always excels. The service is formal but friendly, not stuffy. The food is creative and delicious. The wine list is exceptional. The ambiance is beautiful, a barn turned into a fine dining room. We will definitely be back again.
