From the kitchen to the bar, everything we serve is defined by a passion for exploring unique flavor combinations. Wood is more than a name: our wood-fired oven is at the heart of it all, enhancing a dynamic menu of small-plate, American fare, made with the peak midwest farm produce each season has to offer. Though the dishes regularly change, they are defined by a few constants: meat is butchered in-house from humanely-raised animals; vegetables are drawn from local family farms; and all pastas and sausages are freshly made. Lead by our talented Executive Chef Devin Kreller, who is a 6-time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner, Chef Devin uses French-dominated cooking techniques combined with multicultural inspirations such as Asian and Italian to create new dishes.

Located in the heart of Chicago Boystown, we're known for our brunches, and house butchered meats. Come see why our restaurant has been around for 12 years.

                                                          Had never heard of Wood but wanted to try it out as we were in chicago for one night, and it was absolutely incredible. I had the duck breast with sweet potatoes and blood orange jus. My husband had the steak with potatoes and a glaze. Everything was so much more than we could have ever expected. I can't speak highly enough or recommend the food enough here. They really out did themselves, and I'll be thinking about that duck for the rest of my days! If you've never been i highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

                                                          We tried three appetizers and three mains - the lamb saddle, duck, and mushroom pasta. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious! In addition to being attentive and competent, the staff was very kind. We had an 18 month old child with us, and while she wasn't noisy, she was active and we took up a bit more space than technically was ours. The staff was very accommodating and thoughtful.

                                                          Wood is fast becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! There menu is ever-changing and highly unique. The cocktails are also exceptional. Our server last night was fabulous!

                                                          The food was over priced & nothing to brag about. Radiatore Ai Funghi was bland (tasteless) and what made the dish even more awful was the diluted Parmesan cream sauce. One of our friends ordered lamb which he said was dry. I lucked out with my dish - the roasted chicken breast with pot pie. The chicken was juicy and perfectly roasted. I was quite impressed with the veggie pot pie with flaky buttery crust and delicious vegetables. Overall, the food was okay. The service and the servers were exceptional.

                                                          Dined at bar for last time. Would go back but only sit at table. Senior female Bartender contiually had to make many deletions of overcharged drinks that we didnt have. 3 times in total. Unacceptable. Great food and delicious flavors.
