The night started out with an inexperienced front of the house with the greeting and seating staff. They were young, flustered and inexperienced. We changed our reservation to be 30 mins later since we had hit traffic from Seattle. We got there at the original reservation time. Even though the table we eventually sat at was available the whole time we stood there, they didn't see us until 10 mins after our new reservation. (waiting 40 mins)
We ordered the Wagyu sirloin w/fully loaded bake potatoes and fried Brussel sprouts. First, the steak meat didn't taste like Wagyu. There was barely any marbling, caramelization or flavor. The steak was burnt/charred on the outside, the demi-glaze that was smeared on it didn't help, and the steak was not seasoned at all. I had to put salt/pepper on every cut of the steak. The baked potato was supposed to be fully loaded. It was a large potato, but it came to the table super dry on the inside. There was barely any butter, sour cream or bacon, nor was there any seasoning on the thing. I have had gloriously fried, and delicious, Brussel sprouts before. These were not it. The Brussel sprouts were greasy and over-fried, with little to no caramelization or taste. I forgot to mention our waiter. Wow! He was super awkward. Within 10 seconds of sitting down, he was trying to get us to choose drinks from the bar. We asked for more time, he came back 30 seconds later. My partner didn't know what he wanted and asked for more time, the waiter just stood there awkwardly waiting. My partner took an extra 5 mins because it was super weird. He just stood there staring! What the heck?! Every time I come back to this place, there is a new staff, and something else is wrong with it. I spent $200 on a meal I could have paid $100 less and felt more satisfied by going to other places in the area. Like at Salish around the corner. Really disappointed in the Staff and the food.
