Yauatcha City opened in May 2015 in Broadgate Circle, just outside Liverpool Street Station. This is Yauatcha’s second UK location following the success of its award winning restaurant in Soho.

Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.

Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Relish unlimited steamed, fried, and baked dim sum, plus soft bao, followed by a signature main, side dish, and fluffy soufflé pancakes for dessert. Kick off with a Tales of Negroni cocktail and elevate your feast with optional wine pairings. Dim sum and bao are replenished upon request. Vegetarian and vegan options available. The cost is not worth the value. The pre-set menu for 2 people brings too much food that one couple cannot possibly finish, and that goes to waste, instead of providing a wider range of dishes in smaller portions. Or simply something cheaper for less food. The cocktails are unreasonably priced and the ambiance, though trying to be “quiet”, is loud, with added music that is also too loud. Service was great, some food items really interesting and well presented, but way too expensive in the end. Apple Maps shows it as a 2 out of 4 dollar signs - it should be 4 out of 4 dollar signs for price.

We had a lovely relaxed dinner here, only one note is if one person has the quarter crispy duck as their main, make sure to ask it comes at the same time as the other mains or you’ll be eating alone until they fire the next main

Terrible experience. Will not be going back again. Ordered a drink which was completely bitter (Lychee cocktail) and was told that it’s not bitter. Didn’t quite understand why I was being challenged. Waiter was rude, we all ordered one rice each and only brought out 2 and said the 4 of us had to share. 5 mins later they brought out 2 more rice. Completely bad service. Will not be going again

Living on past glory. Overpriced. Tacky. Food was fine, but no better than what I could get for £20 elsewhere.

The starters and dim sum at Yauatcha is the best part of the meal - not really fussed on the mains. All of the staff are attentive and polite however Mo went above and beyond for us and it was really appreciated. Very knowledgeable on all the Tao Group restaurants and quick to deal with any requests - he also takes great pics!
