   The food was as good as ever, but the pace of service was unacceptably too slow, especially since we had told the waiter that we had a show to make.

   Food is as good as it was years ago. Wine list is a bit wanting. Bar with interesting small batch liquors. Will return for sure.

   My girlfriend and I had lunch at Zuni earlier today... It was amazing on every level.... My first time, her second.. Burgers were perfectly prepared and bread salad was to die for.. Abraham was our server and he couldn't have been any more professional and knowledgeable.. The window table upstairs was perfect.. Need I say more.. Just a great San Francisco dining experience..    Our reservation was honored on time, but the table was next to an open door and it was too chilly. They kindly accommodated our request to be moved. Service was excellent (the kitchen was a little backed up, but manageable) and as always the food was delicious! The only acknowledgement of our special event (anniversary) came with the bill when the server said, "Oh, and happy anniversary." Better than nothing I guess.

   Quite possibly the very best roast chicken I’ve been served. Service with wonderful. Great room with lots of energy. Will definitely be back on my next visit to SF.

   The food is superb, wine list excellent and the cocktails are perfect. We had three courses, all vegetarian and asked to wait on the dessert as each course came out really quickly. Overall the ambience of this restaurant is great, buzzy with a mixed clientele, I need to save up for my next visit but worth every penny! Highly recommend

   Incredibly disappointing experience. Been making the chicken at home for years and my wife and I always wanted to make the trip to try the real thing. Flew down for her birthday and this was the main reason for the trip. Could go on for a long time but seriously haven’t been this overall disappointed by a restaurant, possibly ever. All the food was underwhelming to bad, but the signature chicken was over salted, the skin was undercooked and rubbery, and the meat was dry. We ended up telling our waiter we didn’t like it and sent it back (I’ve worked in the service industry for over 20 years and this might be the first dish I’ve ever sent back). They offered us a free dessert. After all the bad food we just wanted to leave so we turned it down. Charged us full price. We paid the $266 and left. Ruined my wife’s birthday and left us shocked and depressed for the rest of the night. Such a bummer. I really wanted to have a great experience at a classic spot. Don’t bother.

   Been going to Zuni for 30+ years and it continues to consistently deliver the best experience. The food is iconic and the staff is even better. We bow to the chicken :-)
